S T R 8 H I I is the 2nd release from the duo HiiBoys. It visits the themes of early 90's anti marijuana propaganda campaigns from the DEA and various organizations created to deter, scare and sway children and pre-teens away from the liberating effects of marijuana use. Most tracks feature sound bytes from recognizable commercials paid for by the DEA with various marketing tactics that painted marijuana use in less favorable light. The results are hilarious and nostalgic.

The release features 9 songs ranging in length and theme from Vaporwave, vapormeme, post-mallsoft(arguable), vhs pop influence, vapormeme and our self described lo-fi future funk. The one part that is most likely different in our music from most "Vaporwave" style tracks is they are largely all original tracks that lean heavily in lofi and funk influence. They are mostly older tracks we had sitting around and spent time remixing, slowing down and effecting to match aesthetics.

The last track "...im here now..." is largely a sample of "Sparking" from the Tekken 5 OST which is especially 2000 somethin' rock. It was flipped to give that future funk/vapormeme style everyone was trying to do and adding a killer original cheesy guitar solo.
